Brand new government guidelines have been released, which highlight the importance of physical activity and play in young children’s early development.
The report outlines the vital role of PLAY and MOVEMENT in early childhood, putting emphasis on encouraging children, particularly those that aren’t walking, to crawl, roll and play – physical activity is encouraged from birth, ‘particularly through floor-based play…in safe environments’. Meanwhile, children that are up on their feet are now recommended to have at least 3 hours of activity, spread throughout a day with periods of rest in-between.
The report states that these kind of movements are ‘safe, accessible to all and enable unrestricted movement. They also provide valuable opportunities to build social and emotional bonds with parents, siblings and other children.’

Gymboree Putney offers a wide range of classes to closely match your child’s unique stage of development.
Our class levels are based on development, not age, thus ensuring that children always feel comfortable and secure in their environment.
Gymboree Putney runs on a term time schedule with a one off membership fee which includes a unique Gymbo t-shirt, plush Gymbo Doll & a Gym bag.
Currently we have classes available newborn through to 4+ years.
You can join or take a free trial class at any time during term time so long as a place is available.

GYMBOREE PARTIES!
Your child’s celebration party can be held at our beautiful site, which will feature exclusive use of our roomful of Gymboree equipment with our dedicated teacher to bring lots of fun and laughter to your party… tailored to your child’s age and interests. You bring the food (finger food & drinks). We also provide party bags for the guests and a present for the birthday child. Maximum number of children allowed at the party is 15.
